The aim of the game is to get the best 5-card poker hand. You are first dealt five cards at random by the video poker machine. You can choose to hold as many of the five cards as you like by simply clicking on the card you would like to hold) Then click the DEAL button and all cards you chose not to hold will be replaced by new playing cards.
If you do not like your original poker hand, you can opt not to hold any cards and instead to receive an entire new hand. Once any cards have been changed, you will be able to see your final poker hand. The lowest poker hand you can have in order to receive a payout is a pair of Jacks – hence the name Jacks or Better.
At the top of the video poker machine you will find a pay-table, which shows you the amount by which your line bet will be multiplied.
