Online Baccarat
Beat the Banker!
Baccarat is one of the oldest card games, made famous by James Bond in the original 1973 classic Casino Royale film. Although the game was replaced by Poker in the re-make, this card game has certainly not lost its status as one of the most popular online card games!
Beat the Banker!
Online Baccarat is a fast paced game where you play against the banker. The rules are easy to pick up, so when you choose to play Baccarat for the first time, you’ll become a expert in no time at all!
The Rules:
• Numbered card 2-9 are worth their face value
• 10’s and face cards are worth zero
• Aces are worth one point
When the cards are dealt you will receive 2 cards. If the total of the 2 cards is more than 10, subtract 10 from the total. For example, if your 2 cards are 8 & 4
8 + 4 = 12
12 – 10 = 2
Your hand equals 2
Please note: You cannot get a hand total of more than 9.
Many people see Baccarat as a similar game to Blackjack as you play with 2 cards. However, this is not the case. Unlike in Blackjack, when you play casino Baccarat, you don’t need the highest hand to win. Another big difference between the two games is if you think that the Banker has a better hand than you, you can simply bet on the Banker to win! You can also choose a third betting option – that the results will be a Tie.
Once all cards are dealt, the totals are added together and the player with a hand total closest to 9 wins.
If your first 2 cards are a Natural (equal 8 or 9) you win instantly, except when another gambler (multi-player mode) is also holding a Natural of equal value (please note that a Natural 8 will always beat a Natural 9.). If this situation occurs, the hand ends in a Tie and the player who bet on a Tie outcome will win.
If you don’t have a Natural and your first 2 cards equal 6 or 7 you must stand, otherwise you may take an additional card. Then the Banker will make his move
• The Banker must always take another card when having a total card value of 2, 1 or 0.
• With a hand value of 3, the Banker must take an additional card if the 3rd card dealt to the player was any card besides an 8.
• With a hand value of 4, the Banker must take another card if the 3rd card dealt to the player was a 2 or 7.
• With a hand value of 5, the Banker will need to take another card if the 3rd card dealt to the player was a 4 or 7
• With a hand value of 6, the Banker must take another card if the 3rd card dealt to the player happened to be a 6 or 7.
• The Banker will always stand when their total card value equals 7.
After the Banker’s moves the cards are revealed and the player having a total value closest to 9 wins
