American Roulette
Will it be Black, Red or Green?
American roulette is one of three free roulette games featured at Jackpot Scratch. Along with our scratch card and classic roulette games, American roulette offers fast paced action in an entertaining and adrenalin-fueled atmosphere.
Will it be Black, Red or Green?
All of the roulette games follow very similar rules and themes, but there are some differences to note when deciding which version to play. One of the main differences can be seen when you look at the wheel. Unlike other roulette wheels where you only have one green section, with the American wheel, there are two green sections (numbered 0 and 00). You can increase your roulette odds and your winnings when you wager on these numbers.
When you play American roulette you have many betting options open to you. Whether you are new to the game or a veteran expert, it can be a little confusing remembering the many different types of bets that can be placed. Below is an at-a-glance summary of the various betting styles to help guide your playing strategy.
Red/Black, Even/Odd, Low/High Bets
The boxes along the side of the table cover groups of 18 numbers, (excluding 0 and 00). You win even money (1 to 1) on all of these bets, but 0 and 00 are losing numbers for all of these betting types.
Straight Up
This is a standard betting option, where you can bet on any number, including 0 or 00, by placing the chip on the center of the numbered square.
Split Bet
This is when you bet on two consecutive numbers by placing a chip on the line that divides them.
Street Bet
This allows you to bet on a row of three numbers (a street) with one chip by placing a chip on the boundary line of the table, at the end of the corresponding row.
Corner Bet
This allows you to bet on four numbers with one chip by placing chips at the corner where the four numbers meet.
Five Bet
This allows you to bet on the numbers 0, 00, 1, 2, and 3 with one chip by placing your chip on the boundary line, where the corner of the line where the 00 and 3 squares meet.
Line Bet
This allows you to place two street bets at the same time, by placing your chip on the boundary line of the roulette table where the line dividing the two rows crosses
Column Bet
There are three boxes labeled "2 to 1" at the bottom of each column of numbers on the table. Place your chip on the 2 to 1 button that corresponds to the column you would like to bet on.
Dozen Bet
This allows you to bet on a group of twelve numbers by placing your chip in one of the three boxes marked "1st 12," "2nd 12," or "3rd 12."
